No. Macquarie Psychology does not provide any psychological reports or assessments for firearms licence applications or renewals, and we do not complete firearms-related forms or support letters for this purpose.
Our clinicians focus on clinical and neuropsychological assessment for treatment, rehabilitation, and non-firearms-related medico-legal questions (for example, capacity, DSP, or injury-related matters).
If you require a firearms-related assessment, please:
– Speak with your GP or treating specialist about services that specifically offer firearms licence assessments, or
– Contact the relevant Firearms Services or licensing authority for guidance on suitable assessors.
Please note that if we receive a lawful subpoena or court order, we are still required to provide records as directed, but we will not act as firearms assessors or prepare firearms reports.
