Neuropsychology assessments are more extensive than a standard therapy session. A typical assessment may include:
– A detailed clinical interview with you (and a family member or support person if appropriate).
– Several hours of standardised cognitive testing.
– Time for scoring, interpretation and formulation.
– A comprehensive written report with recommendations.
Because of the number of hours involved, the total fee is higher than a block of regular therapy sessions. The exact cost depends on the scope of the assessment and the level of detail required in the report.
Before you commit, we will:
– Review your referral,
– Clarify what is being asked for, and
– Provide an estimate or quote outlining the likely cost and what is included.
In some cases, funding may be available through third-party schemes, such as DVA, MAIB, NDIS, workers’ compensation, insurers, or legal services. Where another organisation is paying, we usually require written approval from the funder before booking the assessment.
