Macquarie Psychology offers specialist DSP assessments with Clinical Psychologist Dr Jason Little for adults aged 18 years and over where there are questions about mental health and functional capacity as part of a Disability Support Pension (DSP) application.
It’s important to understand that:
– We do not make DSP decisions – this is the role of Services Australia (Centrelink).
– Our role is to provide an independent, clinically sound assessment and report that may be used as supporting evidence.
– A diagnosis or report does not guarantee DSP approval – Centrelink applies its own eligibility criteria and Impairment Tables.
DSP assessments are usually privately funded or funded by another agency; they are not normally covered by Medicare.
