We understand that some situations feel urgent and it can be stressful waiting for support.
Macquarie Psychology is not an emergency or crisis service, and there may be times when we cannot offer a same-day or next-day appointment. However, when you contact us, we will:
– Ask some brief questions to understand your situation;
– Let you know the soonest available appointment with suitable clinicians; and
– Where appropriate, suggest interim supports, such as crisis lines, your GP, or emergency services.
If you are in immediate danger or are worried about your safety or someone else’s, please contact 000, go to your nearest hospital emergency department, or call a 24/7 crisis service (see our Crisis Support FAQ).
