FAQS

What’s the difference between a Clinical Psychologist and a Clinical Neuropsychologist?

Both are fully registered psychologists, but they have different areas of specialisation.

A clinical psychologist focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship problems. They primarily use talking therapies and evidence-based psychological interventions.

A clinical neuropsychologist specialises in understanding how changes in the brain affect thinking, behaviour, and emotions. They provide detailed cognitive assessments to investigate issues such as memory problems, attention difficulties, and changes after injury, illness, or developmental conditions.
